WebJul 1, 2016 · The way Synology recommends to correct the filename is to re-name the file in File Station. This is ridiculous and time consuming. There can be thousands of these files on a NAS server. No one can do this one at a time! So I have found a work around, since Synology has not been able to fix this for more than 2 years since we have had our DS214. However when accessing synology nas on TV via DLNA, only the top level file folders are shown, with no content shown underneath. This suggests incorrect settings on viewing permissions, I think.
