Press the key (s) against the paper. $ bill is deadly for your pads. maybe a saxophone but not the fish bladder skin that is on a flute. yes and yes. yes and no. do not, I repeat do not do the typical push down and pull technique. just push down on the key once with the paper. that should suffice for the time.

Go to the music store and get some powdered paper for cleaning pads. First use the cigerette paper and tap the key until it is dry. Then make sure you use the correct side of the powdered paper and tap the key a few times. Try it for a couple of days.
